Copper Metalworking Video Using Three Hammers

Here's a metalworking video on how to set the rim on a raised copper vessel. This cool technique uses three types of hammers a raising hammer, a planishing hammer and a ball peen chasing hammer!

Copper is such a great medium to work in, don't you think?

Never Know When You’ll Need One,
I never thought I’d have a reason to use a de-soldering pump, but recently I found myself disassembling the power supply of an LCD TV. The TV manufacturer had placed inferior capacitors on the circuit board of the power supply and after 2 years, the TV would not turn on. After much research, I found that I could swap out the bad capacitors myself and save a ton of money. So I purchased the desoldering pump to help remove the old solder from the circuit board by vacuuming up the hot solder so that the capacitor can be replaced. Though I had no experience with circuit boards, I was able to complete the task successfully, and the TV now works like new. The desoldering pump worked perfectly, and I can honestly say, “This product sucks!”

Does the job,
This review is from: SOLDER SUCKER DESOLDERING PUMP DESOLDER REMOVAL VACUUM (Misc.)
It is nice for the price. Did what it is suppose to do. Doesn't feel heavy duty thought. Did not expect that at this price. Recommended for medium to light jobs.

Product Review: Dremel 220-01 Rotary Tool Work Station

Dremel 220-01 Rotary Tool Work Station

5-Stars ★★★★★ a handy accessory, February 17, 2011

Being very familiar with dremel products this purchase was a no brainer for me.I use this work station for scale modeling and it has saved me a lot of frustration with misaligned drill holes and part trimming. The price is reasonable and the quality of the tool is great. I reccomend this for the hobbyist.

Althought the Dremel 4000 by itself is a handy tool to have, you can't go wrong having the "Dremel 220-01 Rotary Tool Work Station" it has performed well for all the reason I use it for. I gave it 4 stars because if there is any room for improvement, It would be the nut to attach the Dremel 4000 with. Its made of plastic. I hope Dremel get enough of these suggestions to one day make it out of metal.

It does much of what I want it to do, problem is it is only good for very light work or as a holder for the dremel for some jobs. Many of the parts are plastic and it moves around when the product is in use, any preasure placed on the tool and it distorts from center. I have got good use out of it anyway but it wont take the place of a drill press. If it was made of all metal it would be a sweet tool with few flaws.
